Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Lygourio is an enchanting village. Sokrates Apartments was "steps" away from the Temple of Asklepios and minutes from the beach. The best of both worlds. Quiet and spotlessly clean, and the locals were so kind and helpful for a visitor that does not speek Greek. I recommend it to anyone who would like to experience Authentic Hellas.

Negative: Sokrates Apartments has no control over this, so this is not a criticism of them in any way. A word of advice to travelers: Examine and write down directions to the apartments, as Google maps/GPS does a terrible job. The locals are kind enough to guide you if you are lost, but it really pays to take a look at the layout of the village before you go. If you come on a Sunday or late Saturday night be aware: nearly everything is closed on those days, so bring extra supplies with you. The apartment is stocked with water, coffee and essentials already!

Summary: Wonderful, healing, restful and educational experience -- the Authentic Hellas!!
