Summary: The house has a lot of potential but it needs some serious upgrades considering the asking price. Once you start utilizing the home, you start to see all the deficiencies and shortcomings. For example exterior doors were difficult to open where you had to pull the door to shut or unlock. The showers had no doors and just glass partitions not adequately caulked to keep water in, resulting in wet floors no matter how carefull you are. This in turn must have created a moisture or mold problem due to saturated baseboards and wallboard - you can smell it when you first walk in. The furniture is remnant of Amazon basics deals where press board bed frames were busted when we got there, making it not pleasing to use or look at. The couch was fabric and smelled and looked old, very uncomfortable. The backyard however, was our saving grace. Considering how much we paid for the house, there are a lot of things not related to the age of the house that we were disappointed with. Both remotes for the TVs were broken and very hard to use, come on guys, can’t you replace them before new guests come - cable company does it free. The kitchen needs to be better cleaned. Ie inside of the drawers and cupboards, appliances. The beach chairs were very old, rusty and uncomfortable. I feel like they should be replaced yearly as they are such a nominal price, considering the cost of the property. The nice looking barbeque that showed In the pictures it’s not whats actually there. It’s a extremely cheap, tiny barbeque and not very easy to use or effective at that. We based our descision on renting the property based on the photos on Vrbo however they must have been staged or taken before anyone took to it - we were disappointed and irritated. On a positive note: The kitchen did have everything we needed to cook, which was great! The appliances were good, sans the broken ice maker and fridge drawers. The pool is beautiful and relaxing, and whenever we contacted the property manager, he responded right away and resolved any issues we did contact him about.
